Himachal Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission has framed Regulations for HP Electricity Ombudsman (Vidyut Lokayukta) in exercise of powers under Section 181, sub-section (2) (r) & (s) read with sub-section (6) & (7) of Section 42 of Electricity Act 2003.
The HP Electricity Ombudsman is located at Sharma Sadan, First Floor, Behind Keonthal Commercial Complex, Khalini, Shimla-171002. Any Consumer of Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Limited, who is aggrieved by non-redressal of his Grievances by the Consumer Grievances Redressal Forum (CGRF), not satisfied with the orders passed by the CGRF or is aggrieved by non-implementation of the CGRF orders may make a representation for the Redressal of his grievance to HP Electricity Ombudsman. The detailed procedure for filing the Complaint at HP Electricity Ombudsman is available in the Himachal Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (Consumer Grievances Redressal Forum and Ombudsman) Regulations, 2013 and subsequent amendments available at http://hperc.org/?page_id=172 .
